Feeling lost on your retirement savings? Here are some ways to get guidance on your pension - don't bury your head in the sand! #retirement #pension #retireearly
Have nearly £200,000 invested in my pension at 35 and the reason I put most of my money in this type of account is I believe it's the number one way you can grow your wealth. But so many people aren't even thinking about their pensions as an investment, and I'm on a mission to change that. You can get free guidance using one of these methods. If you're 50, you can contact PensionWise and set up an appointment for free guidance. If you're 50, you can get guidance from moneyhelper.org. And there's a little trick that some pension providers offer. You can ask to take £500 from your pension to pay for financial advice on retirement. You can do this once a year up to three times without a tax charge. Often your employer is able to refer you for some sort of guidance depending on the scheme. So just reach out to your payroll or rewards and benefits team and ask. The worst they can say is no. It's not an exaggeration to say that tiny changes to the way you manage your pension could dramatically change the amount of money you have when it comes to access the pot. It might just be the best financial decision you ever make. Follow me for more.
